The Federal Police Commission blames Oromo regional government and the regional police force for the violence in zones in Hararghe, Wollega and North Shewa which it said had resulted in loss of lives and significant property damages.

The Commission said in a 67 page document that protesters caused property damages while regional police looked on.

The Commission said a total of 34 vehicles were set ablaze while a factory was partially destroyed.

The Federal Police Commission said the Oromo regional government and the regional police force should be condemned for failing to stop the violence.

The document was presented at a recent training organized for senior commanders with the Commission.
