Ethiopia: Bomb explosion injures 13

A bomb explosion in Jimma, 300 miles south west of the capital Addis Ababa injured 13 people, FBC, a state affiliated media reported today.

The explosion took place at noon between two buildings and the injured including a 10 year old child and two women were taken to Jimma University Hospital, FBC quoted police as saying.

Police said a hunt is underway for the perpetrator and called on the public to be on the lookout.

Jimma is in the Oromo region where a five day stay-at-home strike is underway with businesses and transportation shut down for the second day.
