A small plane chartered by U.S. contracting firm Bancroft crashed at a Mogadishu airport on Tuesday morning, Xinhua, a chinese news agency, quoted witnesses as saying.

A source at the Aden Adde International Airport said passengers who were aboard the plane survived but the incident caused flight disruptions at the airport, according to the report.

“Reports point to a failed landing gear,” said the source, adding that the plane crashed while attempting to land.

Bancroft company supports training and logistical services to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
