Residents of Addis Ababa continue to be hit by shortage of fuel which authorities said was caused by the closure of a bridge in Bahir Dar that obstructed the transportation of fuel from Sudan.

Local media quoted  Ethiopian Fuel Supply Agency officials as saying the closure of the bridge forced fuel trucks to take longer routes resulting in a slow delivery to the capital.

Ethiopian authorities have been giving a number of excuses for the shortage of the necessity that resulted in long queues at gas stations and disrupts transportations in the city.

Last month, authorities deny any shortage of fuel while drivers spent hours at gas stations waiting for the next supply of fuel.
