AU to investigate killing of Somalis by the Ethiopian soldiers

The African Union said it would launch an investigation into the killing of 14 innocent Somalis by Ethiopian soldiers, according to the AU peace keeping mission in Somalia.

The AU said it has received information that the Ethiopian soldiers last week killed innocent Somalis in Warding town during a fight with Al Shabaab, AFP reported.

Eyewitnesses told reporters that the Ethiopian soldiers have shot and killed at least 14 people while they were praying.

An estimated 5000 Ethiopian soldiers are among the 20,000 peace keeping mission in Somlaia fighting Al Shabaab. The Ethiopian government has also deployed undisclosed number of soldiers to Somalia on a separate mission.
