Eritrea said on Thursday that its forces killed more than 200 Ethiopian regime forces and wounded over 300 others.

The Eritrean Ministry of Information said in statement that “the attack by the TPLF regime on Sunday was quashed on Monday (13 June) morning entailing heavy losses to its troops.”

“TPLF troops were compelled to retreat to locations beyond from where they initially unleashed the attack,” the statement said.

The Ethiopian regime meanwhile did not give details on the causalities of Sunday’s skirmish on the border between the two countries.

The two sides accuse each other of launching an attack on Sunday on the Tsorena front of the heavily militarized border.
