Ethiopian government spends 180 million USD for the purchase of armaments

Documents from the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense showed that the regime had purchased close to 180 million dollars of armaments in the years September 2013 – September 2015. The regime also sent its military experts to China and Eastern European countries for high level military education.

The documents indicated that 34.2 million dollars had been spent for the purchase of tanks while 44.8 million dollars was spent on heavy artilleries.

The document also showed another 100 million USD was spent on grenades, vehicles and other military items in the reported year.

The majority of the tanks and artilleries were Russian made, it was learnt.
