A U.S. congressman said the Ethiopian regime which terrorizes its people cannot and should not be an ally to the United States.
Representative Mike Coffman of the 6th district of Colorado was speaking to a gathering of Ethiopians in Denver over the weekend that was met to deliberate on House Resolution -128, a resolution Supporting respect for human rights and encouraging inclusive governance in Ethiopia.
A vote on the resolution on the House floor has been postponed indefinitely.
Coffman said the Ethiopian regime was threatening to stop security cooperation with the U.S. if the resolution was to pass.
Coffman called on Ethiopians in the U.S. to urge their representatives for the passage of the Resolution.
