Two Ethiopians try self-immolation in Cairo

Two Ethiopians tried self-immolation at the headquarters of the UNHCR in Cairo, Egypt after the office refused their request for immigration to a third country.

The two Ethiopians came to Egypt escaping from the cruel hands of Ethiopian regime forces cracking down on ongoing uprising in the Oromo region.

Police and other Ethiopians at the scene stop the two from killing themselves but video obtained by the Oromo Media Network show one of them with severe burn to his body.

The UN Agency recently rejected a request by hundreds of Ethiopians for an immigration to a third country. Most of the immigrants run away from the Oromo region of Ethiopia where security forces are unleashing deadly force against students who have been protesting against the tyrannical regime.

Hundreds of Ethiopians die in the high seas of the Mediterranean while trying to cross to Europe as the UN agency refuse to recognize them as legitimate immigrants who fled persecution in their home country.

The condition of the two individuals is not known but reports say they have sustained serious burn to their bodies.
