Ethiopian regime moving army, heavy artillery to the north of the country

ESAT News (July 1, 2016)

The TPLF regime in Ethiopia has been moving its army and heavy military equipment in large numbers to the north of the country, according to eyewitness accounts.

The witnesses said public transport buses, as per the instructions given by the regime, have been transporting large numbers of the army from south and central regions of the country to the north.

A military convoy heading to Tigray was forced to stop for 5 hours in Kombolcha, a major town along a key transportation route to the north of the country, after a traffic accident shut down the highway.

The new development came two weeks after the TPLF and the Eritrean government traded accusations that the other had launched a military attack at the Tsorena front on the border between the two countries.

Eritrea said its forced killed 200 and injured 300. The TPLF regime however did not provide any statement, neither on the loss to its army nor on the damage it inflicted on Eritrea, except saying it had repulsed an attack by Eritrea.
